This website (the “Site”) is jointly operated by the Sumter County, South Carolina Airport Commission (“the Commission”) and On Eagles’ Wings, the fixed-base operator (“FBO”) at Sumter Airport (collectively, “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide directly. When you complete a contact form, request a fuel quote, reserve a hangar or tie-down, sign up for an event, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us through the Site, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, aircraft tail number, and any message content.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, security, and audience measurement (e.g., Google Analytics or a comparable service). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect Site functionality.

Information from third parties. If you reach us through a payment processor, scheduling tool, or social media platform, we may receive limited information from those services in accordance with their own privacy policies.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the Site. Payment transactions, if any, are handled by third-party processors and are not stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, provide FBO and airport services, manage hangar and ramp operations, process event registrations, send service-related communications, maintain Site security, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Site.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Between joint operators. Information submitted through the Site may be shared between the Commission and On Eagles’ Wings as needed to fulfill the request or operate the airport.
  • Service providers. We share information with vendors that host the Site, send email, process payments, or provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of the data.
  • Public records. The Commission is a public body subject to the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (S.C. Code § 30-4-10 et seq.). Information you submit to the Commission may be a public record subject to disclosure, except where exempted by law. Do not submit information you wish to keep confidential.
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information to comply with subpoenas, court orders, regulatory requests (including FAA and TSA inquiries), or other legal obligations, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of the public, our personnel, or others.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses first-party and third-party cookies for session management, security, and traffic analysis. We may use Google Analytics or a similar service that places cookies and collects pseudonymous usage data. 5. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). 6. Data Security and Breach Notification

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure. In the event of a breach involving personal information of South Carolina residents, we will provide notice as required by S.C. Code § 39-1-90 and any other applicable law.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, comply with our legal and recordkeeping obligations (including state public records retention schedules applicable to the Commission), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Your Choices

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any message. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted by contacting us; we will honor such requests to the extent required by applicable law and consistent with our public records obligations.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 9. Third-Party Links

10. Do Not Track

Our Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
